It indicates most of Chinese modern theatres are western style without localization according to the performance characteristics of Chinese traditional dramas. The study shows that Meilanfang grand theatre has many tries in order to adapt the traditional drama performances,which accumulates valuable experience for the construction of the future theatre venues.
